If it has a CD drive you should be able to swap in a fan controller. All the fans should just be standard 3 pin and hook up to the motherboard. Those look pretty modular from the pictures.

Wow that's kinda dumb. Sounds like one of the cheap marketing fuckover schemes.
The corsair 100r looks very similar and does it 10 bucks cheaper. Check that one out if you haven't already.
