Who else feel that 150% is too fuckhuge and 125% is too small?
Why doesn't windows let you set say, 137.5% magnification?
No one else #legallyblind here?
>>54826138
there is a custom option iirc, but probably not that granular
>>54826138
Use 100% like a man

Because resolution independence is hard and even Apple couldn't do it in OSX. What hope do the Microsoft memesters have really. Why are you even changing those settings when 99% of the time you're in a gayme
People use something over 100%?
>>54826927
Microsoft Boot2DirectX is actually a good idea
Possible in Windows 10 mate. You know what to do.
>>54826138
100% is the only choice
Get glasses
>>54827022
Tiny text causes eye strain, glasses or not.
Also, a 4K monitor at under 30" creates text so small that most people would not be able to read 10-point font on it without scaling or leaning very close to the monitor.

wont they make me look like a nerd though? there's got to be some other alternative

t. 1440p fag, text is still almost too small.
;^)
Are you using windows 10 or something? You know that thing is a botnet, right?
>>54826937
use 150% with 4k here, 32" Samsung IPS

Guess i'll have to upgrade to windows 10 then, damn i can't believe this is the pivotal feature for me. Wish they backported it to 7...
This wouldn't be a problem is Microsoft had actual DPI scaling. The idea is that your monitor has a set number of pixels per inch of the display. So they design an interface and have it scale to be the same size depending on the pixel density of the monitor. That way the interface is consistent across all displays.
But Windows doesn't do that. It just sticks with one configuration, optimized for 96 DPI (The option they call "Smaller" there). And then they give you two more options for 120 DPI ("Medium") and 144 DPI ("Larger"). You have to pick them manually, and if your display falls outside those number then fuck you.

Don't do it, that screenshot is from 8.1
I didn't realize you were using deprecated software.
>>54827235
Windows itself is deprecated, so that should be assumed by default.
>>54827235
Oh good i can just install windows 8 then and avoid the botnet telemetry shit in 10? This is good.
Wangblows needs a 75% option for low res like 1080 and below
>>54827146
if you really struggle with 1440p on a 27" monitor you need glasses
>>54827326
I wear glasses for distance. At 3 feet away, on 27" 1440p, some common fonts are small enough that it causes strain after a while. Bumping up the font or text zoom one notch (with in-application settings) is still smaller than what most 1080p screens will show, but looks perfectly fine.
what is the best percentage settings for 1440p on 24"?

op is legally blind

125%
