The Redmi 3/3 Pro is SD616, which is not bad on its own but not as strong as SD650. if it's enough for your uses than it should be fine for casual use.

Have had the chinkme note 3 (not the Pro) for the past two months. Can't say I'm surprised about the few bugs here and there, what with it being a chink phone.
Once the phone got so unbearably laggy that I had to restore it to default.
The fingerprint scanner also doesn't seem to be all too accurate at times.
Apart from that, it's all good in the hood.
It rarely lags & battery life is a beast (way over 16 hours on some days). I haven't used my powerbank since I bought it.
What I especially love is that despite the fact that I've not yet rooted it, I have a lot of root-like privileges (block apps from accessing the data/wifi, allow only certain apps to start on boot, adjust what apps have what permissions, etc)
Overall, for a cheap chinkphone, it's worth the value.

Not really. So far only the Pebble, in any of their incarnations, has nailed it. The nexus 5x battery life is kind shit. On custom roms even after tweaking with the kernel the maximum sot I have is 3 hours.
Is there going to be a response to the iphone se from any android manufacturers? I just want a decent small phone with moderate performance. Only one I've seen which is interesting is the newer galaxy A3 and that has shit for specs and costs more than twice that of a redmi 3 for example.

Battery is pretty low for its screen. Half an hour of youtube at 1080p will eat away 10% of your battery easily. That said if you live predominantly innercity or office then just charge it again. Everyone and their mother can get that shit covered.

Rly, I bought both to use for a week so I can return the one I didnt like. The S7 AMOLED screen has non-uniform whites (this happens on every AMOLED screen that I have ever seen, even one ones where people say otherwise) which triggers my autism. The audio quality out of the HTC 10 from the headphone and speakers completely destroys the S7. I don't like using cases, so I don't have to baby the damn thing when I'm out.
