Guys, what's wrong with chrome? (retard here)

I didn't wanna make my own thread so I thought I'd ask here.

AdBlockPlus doesn't work anymore on my chrome. This just happened 10 minutes ago (ads started playing before and in between every video). I searched FAQ and couldn't find a solution. What do? Pls halp.

>>

SeaMonkey
>>
>>54812987
What makes it more optimal compared to Firefox let's say?
>>
>>54813006
It's an application suite like a browser should be and doesn't suffer from the RAM issues that Firefox does
>>
>>54813021

Are: NoScript, RequestPolicy continued, ABP Start Video Assistant, HTTPS Everywhere available on Chrome? Is there a Grease Monkey equivalent, SOCKS support, and importantly (especially if there's no SVA or equiv) can I set the VP9 decoder to FFVP9 instead of Google's libvpx-vp9 decoder?

Yes

Not in the slightest.

I couldn't give less of a shit either way, I just care about which end product is best, which is SeaMonkey.
>>
>>54813057
Gotcha.

>>54813063
The end result being the only thing that matters is a logical thought. But would SeaMonkey being ran by a community be, like, less consistent vs Firefox? Like regarding security updates and such?
>>
>>54813084
>But would SeaMonkey being ran by a community be, like, less consistent vs Firefox? Like regarding security updates and such?
I honestly don't care about that either, only which is best. Fuck my main browser is three years old and I continue to use it because I find it superior to the alternatives. That's not too much to worry about with SeaMonkey, it regularly receives updates.
>>
>>54813096
Thanks for spoonfeeding me mate. I'm in the dark regarding this type of shit.

One more question, what's the best adblock for SeaMonkey?
>>
>>54812823
Does it suffer from ram raping?
>>
>>54812403
Botnet
>>
>>54813113
No problem, and I can't help you in that regard, I just use it as a backup browser and NoScript along with my router's adblocking is enough for the few times I fire it up. Whatever you'd use with Firefox should work though, it's compatible with a lot of Fx extensions and a lot that aren't can be converted to be compatible with SeaMonkey.
>>
>>54812823

Firefox is slow as shit. Uses up so much more computation power when loading a page compared to chromium based. Powered by sjw niggers with a feminist objective to grind.

Chrome is a privacy nightmare and cancer. Literally powered by botnet server. Extensions and shit are limited. You can't launch external programs from your addon (mpv addon for example). Flash or video playback has issues.

This isn't just Google viral marketing. I've used Firefox ever since it was Phoenix (0.1). Yes. I fucking used 0.1, there from the goddamn start. That's how much I loved Firefox.

Until recently, when it's become a huge bloated fucking mess of a browser that is slow at absolutely every goddamn thing it tries to do. There is no point using it any more and every fork and other version has either inherited at least part of its bloat or completely sucks because of incompatibility or instability, or both. And every other browser on the planet is garbage.

Use Chrome or Chromium. There is no point using anything else. None. Fucking seriously. This from a long-time Firefox user. Firefox and its kin are dead.

There are no chrome extension I'd miss on firefox. I have to compare ff and vivaldi myself.
>>
>>54820520
There are no Chrome extensions not on FF, you mean -- usually, there's even a better alternative on FF sans the botnet shit Chrome promotes.

Vivaldi is ok on for my little MBA I bring to college. I can't se myself using it on my main computer over FF and the vertical tabs doesn't have a tree-style cascade to them, but I'm sure that can be remedied. I just hate installing shit from the Chrome Extensions store.

>>54820714
No shit like hello or pocket packed in it. Plus, my extensions still work in it properly.

In Mozilla's quest to ruin itself or be more like Chrome, it fucked over a lot of add-ons and the devs abandoned them instead, of constantly trying to fix or rewrite them entirely.

Get a better addon called 'uBlock Origin'
It's more light and allows ABP style filters, its own filter syntax and hosts files.

The Google effect.
Everything Google touches becomes shit.
Take Chromium for example.
You can bet your virgin ass that the Chromium devs are probably very capable of implementing lazy loading into the browser code, but the Google devs doing Chrome announced an implementation that exists in words only and seems to not exist at all in terms of functional existence.
Or take YouTube for example after Google got their hands on it.
A fucking travesty is what it became.

Everything Google touches turns to shit.
I can only imagine the self-driving cars self-driving themselves into the fucking Ocean in a final attempt of upholding natural selection against the idiots who own them.

Mind sharing a screenshot of a "not look like shit" Firefox so I know what to aim for? I'm quite alright with vanilla FF's current looks.
My main issue back then was moving the tabs around, how easy and visually appealing it is to pull a tab out and make a new window, and how good it looks pulling a tab from one window to the other. Firefox made some advancements in that regard, though it's still not perfect.

Doesn't Vivaldi build its UI around JavaScript and ReactJS? I tried using it, and it had that classic, kinda-slow UI experience out of other ReactJS apps.

Sometimes it stutters, but usually there's only a split-second delay when doing certain things, but it's enough to drive me crazy. Fuck JS/ReactJS for desktop application UIs.

When iceweasel support is dropped i will switch to GNU Icecat. But that's not going to happen until stretch becomes stable i believe.

Because everything is open in order and when i open articles they are opened next to the source tab.
When i close the session, the tabs i don't want forgotten are memorized next to the tab i opened them from and next time i open the session everything is as it was before i closed the browser.

Why does your mother's pussy stink of fish?
Because it does.
Why do i browse like this?
Because i do.
