I only got my first static website set up few hours and and I keep getting pic related requests from random IP addresses every few hours.
Are these bots scanning for vulnerabilities?

Yes, install fail2ban if you would like and configure some custom jails for the endpoints they're trying to access and just ban them forever.

Yes. It's completely normal. Also look at auth logs for extra fun.

You don't need fail2ban if you have an updated system and don't mind the extra traffic.

look up WebKnight, its a firewall with bot/scanner traps for IIS
