Duckduckgo says that "error 30" could be a Disk error.
Not really sure of that, could OP try a previous version of Ubuntu Server ? (12.04 LTS at least).

Who the fuck uses mint for a server. Use Debian, it's the most stable
Post the log data... What partition type is the disk? You gotta give more info...
Type the following on your desktop ubuntu.sudo rm -rf /
