hello /g/, I need a little bit of help here, my overcontrolling mom installed a type of spyware program on my computer which moniters web searches and also filters sites. The program is called Covenant Eyes and I'm running Windows ten, I was wondering if there is a way to disable this program without the password used to create the account, as I'd really like to view the steam market for once. Are you using your parents' computer or something? If so, you could boot into a Linux live CD instead of W10 every time you want to use the computer. If it's your own computer how is this even a thing?
just reinstall, whats the chance theres a BIOS or HDD password?
I remember when i was 13 my mom installed some shitty software on my computer and it wouldnt let me use AIM. She claimed "well you must be using bad words or something!" so I just fucking reinstalled windows and never told her my new password.

if there is, all he has to do is clear the CMOS. Very few machines actually implement anything like Thinkpad supervisor passwords, and even fewer normies know to set them.
You have a couple of options:
1) Tell ur mom she's over reacting & you're goddamn 18.
2) Reinstall Windows if its your own Computer & only you use it. Maybe backup portant stuff before.
3) Use a LiveCD. For example, download a Fedora Live DvD Image and burn it on a dvd. Chances are high that your computer boots the dvd automatically. If not, ask here again or google.
