That is/was the plan actually. Especially since they're both now going at 1400Mhz, the blower gets pretty loud during long sessions.

I hoping go through with it eventually, not too late though. As badly as I want to get the 1080, I may skip this generation and just have this duo soldier on.

Thanks.

>>54782633
Agreed. Looking at his loop, I'm horrified about how much it must've cost.

>>54782295
Sorry to break it to you, but not only are three or four of those fans useless, but actually hurting airflow.

>>
>>54783775
You can remove the highest front fan and two top fans without hurting (actually improving) airflow or raising overall temperatures. Or if you cant, you're braking laws of physics here. You run those fans at too low RPM and they become completely irrelevant, no matter how many of them there are.
>>

They no longer move air (or cause pressure) in the amount that effects the overall airflow, thus they became useless or even harmful to case airflow. Your attitude is quite telling how much you've researched the subject. There is good quides for airlow with science behind them if you want to learn.

If you'd be the man of substance that i'm not, you would post the current temperatures and RPM of the fans with current setup and same thing with two top fans and the highest front fan removed.

And really, you actually think that 120x120mm fan with that blade design running at 200RPM (for example) actually move air enough to be relevant in any way?

cold air goes in, warm air goes out, theres hardly any science behind this, look at his fans 1 side has intake all the rest are out take, why the fuck does it matter if he has extra fans, its not hurting anything, even if its not bringing that much difference to the table.

lol . That is science all ready. But in a closed case, the vertical air movement is crucial thing to take into account.

>why the fuck does it matter if he has extra fans, its not hurting anything
And again lol. If the extra fans dont support the main airflow they are useless and if they disturb it, which they can by causing turbulence, they are harmful.

about as harmful as my dick in your mom
>>
>>54784537
Anon I think you're confusing this with larger air systems. The inside of a sealed case like that is going to have negative pressure from the 4 outtake fans against 3 intake fans, meaning it should actually have excellent airflow, sure the extra fans might not be contributing significantly, but you'd be VERY hard pressed to demonstrate them causing literally ANY sort of performance detriment. I mean, i'm talking even half a percent difference.

You're insane if you think air flow matters to that extent in a system of this size.

I spent $85 total to custom make all the cables in my build (>>54785135). I have plenty left over for another full build, too. I also spent extra and tried out sleeving my tubes, which I turned out not liking. So you could probably do it all for $50? Maybe $60 unless Nils has upped his prices in 3 years.

Can't you help GPU sag by just having the cables come in from above? Then again if that thing is part of the case to begin with no harm in using that instead.

the copper heat-pipes are the problem. the window mounting is shit and the pipes don't let me close the case the other way around

Depends on the card, mobo, and case. Backplates also help.

Can someone recommend me a good purple themed case? I found this one from DIYPC which looks pretty enough, but I want other options that I just can't really find.

I went from the DS Cube on left, to a much easier but fucking giant Thermaltake V71 on the right.

No matter what I did I couldn't get decent cable management. I'm a fucking idiot but now it works..

Its part of the case. You can mount it there or move it up if you want, for example, a fan floating in the middle of your case.

That case is meant for a high end liquid loop. Shit ton of room for radiators etc. Why on earth did you buy that case if you're on air? Waste of space.
