That is/was the plan actually. Especially since they're both now going at 1400Mhz, the blower gets pretty loud during long sessions.

You can remove the highest front fan and two top fans without hurting (actually improving) airflow or raising overall temperatures. Or if you cant, you're braking laws of physics here. You run those fans at too low RPM and they become completely irrelevant, no matter how many of them there are.

Anon I think you're confusing this with larger air systems. The inside of a sealed case like that is going to have negative pressure from the 4 outtake fans against 3 intake fans, meaning it should actually have excellent airflow, sure the extra fans might not be contributing significantly, but you'd be VERY hard pressed to demonstrate them causing literally ANY sort of performance detriment. I mean, i'm talking even half a percent difference.
You're insane if you think air flow matters to that extent in a system of this size.

Extensions are universal, but yes pin layout on PSU's do vary but have to maintain the same pin layout for the mobo pins, so any extension should work.
