What is the worst IDE/technology you were ever forced to use?

They made us use this shit in college for a few classes and it killed my will to use Microsoft technology ever again.

It is, but OP hasn't programmed anything but 40-line projects so he wouldn't know.

That's the best IDE for C# and C++. You can literally churn out programs within hours once you get good at it. Holy shit you're a retard.

Android Studio was really shitty at the start, can't blame them though. Its gotten better with the 2nd version.

Made us use it in high school.
The Chad and Stacy tears were great. Luckly the school computer also had an antice pascal ide wich wasn't more bloated then a fucking Souls enemy.

What the fuck are you talking about? I've never encountered a C++ environment that can touch Visual Studio. My only gripe with it is it encourages using it's project files directly instead of generating them with CMake, which makes for poor non-portable builds.

It's still much slower than Eclipse packed with tons of bullshit you can't turn off.

Is there an IDE that can even touch Visual Studio? And I'm not even talking about Visual Studio Community Edition...

Microcuck Visual Shitshow is the worst. Would literally take jGrasp over it.

VS was pretty much god-tier back in the day. Now it's pajeet-tier fucktardary. Soon to become a meme.

Advices ... use a text editor, emacs or vim and get used to using the commandline. Only ever use the ide for debugging your shit.
>>

I am using codeblocks and vim, is there anything better than that ?

This pretty much what I do. C::B isn't prefect either but it's light and reasonably quick and won't shit dump gigs of crap on your system when you install it.
>>
Visual Studio is fucking great. Literally nothing beats it when programming in C# or other .NET languages.
>>
>>54771188
lol this

Visual Studio is pretty great. It makes coding nice and has a ton of features packed in. I'll give you that it's a little bloated if you don't use all the features (and especially because most people don't), and it's definitely got a learning curve which makes it difficult. In any case, with all of .NET becoming open source I expect soon we'll be able to use lighter-weight IDEs and project-based text editors, and just compile the code from CLI.

If you're doing a larger project VS and IDEs are fine

Most schools teach VS wrong like "new solution for each homework problem" when all they need is a single c\cpp\cs file...

VS\IDEs should be mainly used for large projects
