I'm basically wondering at this point now that the 1080 is coming out and driving down the prices of the 980ti as to what card is worth it.
I'm Canadian so I'm already getting shafted on the price a little, but either card would be a huge boost over my current GTX 670 (I know, I know....)
I'm mostly just wondering what people would recommend. I know that the 1080 is will $250 more than the 980ti, but is it worth it for futureproofing?
I'm not going multi-monitor, or doing any VR stuff. I just want to be able to pick up a card that is going to be able to run pretty much anything for the foreseeable future.

The 1080 is 25% faster than the 980ti.
Also, there is no such thing as "future proof" when it comes to Nvidia cards.
The fact that someone would want a 980 Ti at this point blows my mind.
If you're concerned about budget, wait for Polaris reveal at Computex.
If you're a fanboy, fuck off back to /v/.

>980 ti
It'll be gimped via drivers any day now, whenever Nvidia wants it's good goyims to upgrade.
