Having a torrent client running on a dedicated machine so that you can access it from anywhere or any of your other computers, obviously.
Also it saves power because you can put it on a low-power system and leave that running 24/7 instead of your 650W desktop.
Also also you don't have to use resources on your desktop to manage the torrents meaning you have more resources for your hobbies.
All in all it's a pretty sweet setup.

Well, I have a 1Gbps connection so I get everything pretty fast. Also I only seed for as long I download, after it's completed I'm done with it, so no reason for any additional PC to do this task.
