Please help, I broke my computer. I have a custom theme for windows and some of the buttons went back to windows default for some reason, anyway I went to try and re-load the theme and it broke windows explorer. This has happened before (seemingly randomly idk) but I've kept restore points so it hasn't been a problem. But this time they're gone.
I need a way to either fix my explorer or keep my files and do a fresh install, preferably without buying another hard disk.

Get a Windows install disk for the version and service pack you're on. Either copy the explorer.exe to your hard drive, or reinstall using it and hope everything's in Windows.old
Option install OS again.
Lets say you have 1TB storage:
1.Install Windows new.
2.At the menu ,where you pick your disk, create a new partition from your 1TB ( 100GB or so)
3.Install there Windows (@100GB)
4.All your files are safe
