Is it safe and worth it to install arch on my 2012 MacBook? Will the touchpad still be flawless?

>is it safe?
Yes. There are a plethora of guides to make it happen
>worth it?
I don't know, I've mainly seen detailed guides for Debian/Ubuntu, but the Arch wiki seems to have something about it.
>touchpad be flawless?
No. Don't even have a hope of it. It'll be very usable, but not as good as OSX
>replace real UNIX that's optimized for the system with some Pajeet tier hacky OS so you can feel like a 1337 hacker

Are you sure about using arch?
I use Debian on my Macbook pro 2013 as my main OS. Never had problems woth drivers or the touchpad, but don't know about your Macbook or Arch.
Wouldn't recommend Arch. If you don't know what you are doing you will just waste hours of time.

Just because K-UX is doesn't make the other Linux distros UNIX, you fucking moron. Hell not even OS X 10.5 on PowerPC is UNIX because Apple only had 10.5 on Intel certified.

Remember when The Linux Foundation submitted the LSB and failed POSIX and thus couldn't get the UNIX brand certification?
>>54703199
you can run into issues but there are a decent number of guides or forum threads on issue
I got the battery to work pretty well running arch on 2013 macbook air, as far as if it is worth it for you, I can't say as I never used it as my main computer
if you really like arch then why not
