The highest end Polaris chip better outperform the 390x because if it doesn't, another $100 will net you a 50% increase in power from Nvidia. It'd mean Nvidia actually has the best price: performance even if that price is high
Hopefully Polaris 10 is running at fury levels and we can hope for an amazing Vega
