How come no PC makers have been able to replicate the marketing success of Apple? Will anything ever change the perception among normies that Windows is just what comes pre loaded on $500 shitty laptops from Best Buy & what large enterprises use because Windows is designed for boring office workers, Macs are for cool people who can afford what Just Werks™? I mean Samsung has found some success in stealing the iPhones thunder by marketing themselves as a premium Android phone maker, so why hasn't anyone done that for PCs yet? The closest I can think of is gaymur shit like Razer.
I think that regular PC companies put a lot of effort into maintaining a level of utilitarian appeal that it hampers their ability to market aspects of their design appealing to individuality.
Plus, they undersell themselves as Windows computers. Apple is viewed as 'app-tastic' but has less ability to download and install program. For instance, my PC, since it's Windows, can download and install a YouTube downloader I think is versatile and does its job well, whereas on Mac, I can't even download it.

Windows is just that unless you're a producer, in which case it has some decent software and you can put it on whatever hardware you want.

They kinda have. Asus and Dell make thin and shiny laptops. Not as much as Apple though, there isn't a single good all in one besides the iMac
