Where do these thing set off being so expensive? 64x96 monochrome screen, 15mhz processor from 1976, 24kb of ram. Plastic body.

The only reason they are expensive is because they are needed for schools, and so TI can charge outrageous prices for them because they know kids will need to buy them anyway.

Most schools in the US only allow you to use TI graphing calculators for tests so TI holds a monopoly.
