Their quality control can be an issue, but they RMA like no ones buisness so it's usually not a problem, just keep RMA'ing until you get a good one. That's what I did with my monitors. Bought 2, one showed up DOA. RMA'd it and got a working one.

I've used one, but I dont own one (and wouldn't buy one). 28" is FAR too small for 4k, the GUI scaling is basically required to read ANYTHING legibly, but plenty of programs totally ignore GUI scaling in windows so you're shit out of luck.
You want at least 36-40" for 4k.

Yeah, I use one as my main monitor. The sharpness and image quality is absolutely gorgeous. I didn't plan on keeping it, I bought it with the express purpose of trying out 4K for myself and sending it back, but the quality was just too good compared to a "normal" DPI monitor to give up, so I kept it.

Most basic things like internet and shit are fine, but if you use any sort of professional software that doesn't get updates very often, you're usually shit out of luck.
It's going to depend what you do on the computer, but for me I could never use 4k on anything smaller than a 36", and i'd prefer 40". 40" 4k is 110 PPI, at 36" it's 122 PPI, at 27" it's 165 PPI.
A "normal" 27" 2560x1440p for reference is 108 PPI. So 40" 4k at 110 PPI will be almost identical to a 1440p 27".

I use a HP ZR2440w. Its 1920x1200, 24 inch IPS monitor. I like it, but the default color settings are a bit warm, so I had to do some calibrating. Just a warning. Also, 16:10 monitors have a premium that honestly, isn't really worth it unless you really want the extra space.

i bought a standard ultrawide.
i don't think i need the sync tech or the over 60 hz. it's not like i ever have a badass enough pc to play all the new games at max. i mean, i would try it, but not for 2x the cost, or for a similar price 16:9 with those features. once something gets glowing "GAMR" led logos all over it, i get worried about its actual usefulness.
