All dell motherboards of that era have problems with capacitors blowing because their cap mfg stole an in-progress (see not stable) dielectric from a competitor.
Not worth it unless you like soldering on new caps every few months

I work desktop IT at my uni. We still have those generation dells.
We have repeat offenders for blown caps in regularly.
Sometimes I get an urge to build a small and cheap home server like in the OP.
But in the end it's always really fucking expensive with seemingly nothing to cut costs on. Being poor sucks.
