Carriers rape the shit out of phones with software. I'm surprised that doesn't come up more often in the Android vs iPhone debates, because apple doesn't allow shitware to be preloaded by the carrier. I have a Droid turbo 2. Why the fuck do I have NFL mobile installed? Thanks Verizon. It's shit.
G4 is rootable if you're on Lollipop 13B. If not, you can downgrade to 13B and then root.
S5 is also rootable, but only on 4.4.2, but you can easily downgrade back to 4.4.2 if you're on one of the earlier Lollipop updates.
