What make you think we aren't that hard drive?
Was funny, I once copied stuff from one of my VPS's to another. Thought they where just on the same switch or something, that was why I was getting 200MB/s transfers. Did a traceroute and it turns out their internet is just that fast.

This literally - I get maximum of 110 - 120 mb/s speed on ssd not because of write limit because of 1 Gbit limit.
I get same 100 mb/s write on SATA I hard disk ( caviar blue something ) was relatively cheap...
