Ultrabooks general thread for purposes of using the sleek designs, light weight, and durable design (hopefully).
Relatively new to making these general threads, so be nice.
Interested in getting the XPS15, although Dell's quality control is shit.
Should I buy refurbished, or should I buy directly from Dell? I've checked online, and there is opposing opinions on the topic because apparently the quality control of the refurbished are better because they receive a better "inspection" (?)

Buy a refurbished Latitude 7470. They're already on Dell's outlet site. It got an 89% from NotebookCheck. Don't even fuck with the XPS's issues. From subpar battery life, warm temps, and uncontrollable screen brightness, it's just not worth it.

Interested in the XPS 13. Going to be programming, probably throw arch on it. Portability, performance, and battery life are important. Thoughts?
