I'm sitting here with university acceptance letters for both a B.S. in computer science and mechanical engineering programs. I plan on accepting one today. The issue is, I'm really having trouble deciding. I don't suppose anyone here actually has any work experience in these fields and can lend their opinion?

Applied Discrete Maths and Probability, so it gets less tied down in number theory and stuff.
