i need wine though to run abelton and photoshit, and i don't want to bust out urxvt every time to open them, so i was curious if i can do something in its config.

In theory, you can put sh scripts that contain the command to launch these programs in /usr/local/bin and dmenu will find them. Just make sure these scripts are executable
