So im looking into getting good at some light to moderate video editing and want to know what /g/ uses or suggests. Have my eye on Lightworks, AVS and VideoStudio.

I only have a laptop with an i7 running windows 10. Will that limit anything or just make rendering slow?

Premier Pro or Sony Vegas. Vegas is probably easier.

Use Vegas
Similar layout to Movie Maker so it wont be so hard to learn

Premiere Pro or wait until Avid releases the free version of Media Composer. Even the editor in the free version of DaVinci Resolve is suppose to be decent.
