Long story short, ill soon be going away for several months and i want to buy a VR ready laptop or a good gaming laptop for less then 2000$ any good advise?

You'll probably want to wait a bit and add $1k to that
Get one of those behemoth laptops that has dual 1080s in it

That doesn't exist yet. VR is difficult on a 980Ti.
