Are RFID blockers a meme?

RFID cards are a meme to begin with.
>>
It is if you don't have an RFID credit card.

It's easy for normies to mistake the EMV chip cards as RFID chips.

Define "meme".

You can't steal card information using RFID.

RFID chips generate new encrypted token every time before sending out any information (Apple Pay does the same thing, but Apple somehow convinced people this is unique to Apple Pay, making Apple Pay more secure than regular RFID credit/debit cards).

Only possible attack is if a gypsy somehow got a hold of NFC debit terminal, and started tapping the terminal at people's pockets in crowded subway or some shit like that (this has actually happened in Russia).

Yes, but Visa / Mastercard blocks that terminal within hours. This is such an unlikely scenario.

Doesn't stop the gypsies from trying.

If you're concerned enough to actually use a RFID blocker, why not get a card without a RFID chip?

Depends where you are anon.

Here in Australia you'd be hard pressed to find a card that wasn't both and also Visa or Matercard debit.

Chip+Pin was introduced here almost 6 years ago.
Paywave was 4-5 years ago. (not called 'contactless' here, Visa introduced it first and we genericise trademarks like motherfuckers)

About the only cards that aren't are EFTPOS only cards (a rarity now) which would be Chip only (some are even still magstrip only since EFTPOS was always magstrip+pin, never sign)

Depending on where you are that basically impossible.
Definitely impossible if you want to use it Online. (Visa/Mastercard)

No.
RFID blockers are a placebo.
Get you're memes straight.

Depends on how they're made. My wallet has a faraday cage sewn in. It actually gets annoying when I have to badge in at work.
