I just run Ubuntu with no AV personally, but I usually recommend Sophos (free for personal use), F-secure (costs but supporting a good company), or just running Windows Defender + Common Sense 2016 Security Suite.

I would add maybe weekly scans with mbam or the like. Should be more than enough for normal users.
