Gonna go for RHEL certification, want to see what I'm getting into.
That could easily be XFCE with a theme, some minor panel customization, and acyl icons. It could also be gnome with a few extensions, or awesome with titlebars enabled, or openbox and an obscure panel. Thunar and ncmpcpp are the only definites there.
The cool part of rice isn't the looks. The cool part of rice is spending hours of your day beating hobbyist made software like i3, awesome, lemonbar, and urxvt into looking half decent and functioning as well or better than a DE and making fun of the DE developers and users for wasting all that time developing and using slower, heavier software that does the same thing as lighter software that's been configured well.
Or you could just buy a mac and do this all day:
