If you don't like to use google and find your way through inet sources, than you shouldn't even try to learn programming. Seriously. That's half of the trade. You run into a problem and you search for the answer.

Treat finding a site that works for you as some sort of entry test :)

sign up for safaribooksonline and then read an number of c books.

start with orielly books or k&r rather than any of those shit 'learn shit in 21days' books.
