can i get a macbook for $1600 that can do this?
real question though, are there any non-chink laptops that can do this? my girlfriend and i like MSI for gayming together and fucking around with, but do other brands actually have models of desktop replacement laptops that allow for overclocking?

isn't it just the retina ones that have shitty cooling or is it literally all of them?

All of them, you dumb fuck.

Got an air, it's not as bad because it never uses too much power on the first place, but it's still not remotely good. Fan locked on max, it'll stay at 70c with moderate browser usage. Lots of CPU usage because of the kernel de/compressing memory, so you use any program that uses more ram than your system has and you're fucked heat wise. So long as it doesn't hit 80 your performance will be as good as usual, so not very good.
Don't get me started on the 2015, doesn't even have a fucking fan.

not even looking at your specs, just wanted to mention the fact that the two most important things in mobile computer are portability and battery life.
if your laptop can outperform a macbook while having equal battery life and weight, for a similar price, then you've got yourself a winner.
if you've got a 5 pound laptop with less than 10 hours of battery life...that's not really cutting it in the current year senpai.

Alienware 15 gets really respectable battery life for what's essentially a fucking portable desktop. Only weighs 200g more than the rMBP15, while providing way superior performance.

not even looking at the rest of your post. the most important thing in a machine is dependent on the user

Now here's what the rMBP13 gets in battery tests. It's still on Haswell for fucks sake.
