Evolutionary algorithms/neural networks, how hard would it be/ how long would it take to learn this shit, seems neat.
Pretty long

this is pretty good for that

Read:
Basic Math - Serge Lang
Intro to Mathematical Reasoning - Eccles
A Course in Pure Mathematics - Hardy
Advanced Calculus - Loomis/Sternberg
Concrete Mathematics - Knuth (or read the Math Intro in The Art of Programming Vol 1)
Then do this course: http://liacs.leidenuniv.nl/~csnaco/EA/
See you in 6-12 months.
Can u fag stop talking about this shit? It's been discussed since 1920s but not for low iq retards like you. Read Cybernetics by Wiener and you'll see MIT had AI in 1930.

is all that math really necessary? Does the python machine learning library not handle any of this

Oh wow you are a fucking clown.

Nice quads tho

Type "Evolutionary Algorithms" into libgen.io to search for books on it. Maybe some are applied.
If you want to analyze what you're doing you'll need math since every single university course will use math.
That list of books only took me 4.5 months to do doing it 2 hours everyday, it's all intro material and not impossible.
Does knowledge in fuzzy logic help at all, or am I way off? Also does Matlab/Simulink help

What about statistics?

If you know calculus then you can just pick up the book 'All of statistics' and breeze through it.
