what is the best fsf approved distro?
windows 10
oracle linux
Isn't MSDOS open source now?
>>54560117
What does it have to do with fsf?
>>54560136
MSDOS is better than any current linux distro
Temple OS
Trisquel.
But I'm anxious to try out GUIX once it's stable.
>>54560155
Nice b8
>>54559402
FreeBSD
Parabola
>>54559402
Debian fulfills the FSF requirements by default (since 7.0)
Debian is free as in freedom. Just don't enable the non-free repos and you good.
Stallman doesn't approve because you can enable non-free aa an option.
>>54561758
>FreeBSD
BSD license doesn't guarantee freedom.
>>54559402
Trisquel or Parabola if you want a rolling release
>>54559402
I ran Trisquel for a while it was easy to setup.
Parabola is just Arch linux with crippled repositories and libre kernel.
If you want FSF approved: Trisquel
Note: Stallman doesn't care what distro you use as long as you don't add any nonfree software to it, he'd be perfectly okay recommending Debian or other distros to people in private if he knew that the person he was recommending it to would not install any of the nonfree software that the distro "recommends".
