Shitty 4chan app design aside, material design really does suck. Have you guys seen what Google+ or Google Inbox look like? It's awful. It's not even "innovative", it's just flat colors with a shit ton of drop shadows. The only good innovation in mobile ui design was the Windows phone's tiles, and that device is pretty much dead.

You're an idiot. Inbox is fantastic. And no shit it's flat design with drop shadows. It's emulating layers of paper. No one's claiming it's innovative.
