Why aren't you making your own out of ferrite cores?

It doesn't quite work like that.
The device needs for example a device descriptor, to tell the pc what kind of device you just connected.
Without that, the device only gets powered and nothing else.

In other words, there is alot more configuration needed before you can do this. In fact, none of these pictures posted are working

Buy a used 3DS and hardmod it. The EMMC flash chip in it uses the same interface as SD. Use it as a 1GB SD card.
