The whole smart phone thing was more of a good idea than a revolutionary technological feat.
We already had PDAs for years which were smart phones without the phone circuitry in them, and we already had cellphones.
Suddenly they stick the phone in the PDA and everyone has an excuse to buy and carry a PDA around.
