High end graphics cards are a dying breed.
For all the children screaming AMD vs Nvidia at each other you all have the wrong picture. AMD are trying to compete with Intel, not Nvidia.
AMD APUs in all current gen consoles, most likely AMD APUs in all next gen consoles. This makes up well over 50% of game sales for companies like Ubisoft, EA, activision. AMD have positioned themselves so that game developers are making games on their hardware, and porting to PC.
Their manufacturing process is cheaper with higher yields than Nvidia, who can't justify the smaller profit margins in console GPUs, and pretty soon, AMD will move their production into multiple under-powered gpus on the same chip to fall in line with dx12, vulkan and better multi gpu support that does away with inefficient alternate frame rendering.
Once developers start making games on this kind of hardware, and it gets ported to PC, Nvidia cards will be broken on these game. Nvidia will be relegated exclusively to expensive, high end cards, which have a very small market, and AMD will have the money behind it to get back into making CPUs, which is where all the real money is.
For anyone claiming it's bullshit, it's clear AMD have changed their target markets and are no longer interested in competing with Nvidia. They won't need to once their insidious master plan comes to fruition.

Nvidia's advertising, marketing and brand position puts AMD in the fucking ground every time. They also have a much better relationship with big tech reviewers. Coupled with some uninspiring refresh releases from AMD I can see why people get so frothed up over Nvidia.
But look at the silicone. AMD is already trying to incorporate 2 weak gpus in one piece of silicone that is recognised as a single gpu. It's cheap, and it's the way hardware will go.
As for gameworks, fallout 4, a GAMEWORKS GAME following the latest patches has seen a pretty substantial decrease in the performance of Kepler cards... Gameworks is basically Nvidia's version of planned obsolescence.. No better than apple kek ;)
Maybe not for the high end enthusiasts that make up 1% of the market, but for major game consoles and entry to mid level cards.
