Will strong neodymium magnets fuck with reception on a GPS tracker?
Wanting to make a DIY magnetic case, because fuck spending $30 for a mass-produced one and I don't trust how strong the magnets will be.

OP is under house arrest, isn't he? And wants to fool/disable the tracker thing.
>>54469054
Lol, no. Trying to track a vehicle on a budget.
>>54467698
Trying to catch your Gf cucking you, ahhh smart move OP
they shouldn't, all it is is a really fancy clock
>>54467698
youd have more trouble getting reliable sat comms if the receiver is under a ton of steel
>>54469054
If they can't track him then they'll look

this
you can easily block GPS signals with sheet metal, or anything that absorbs RF like wood

some GPS have a built-in magnetometric compass for reference when signal is bad
however even if it were completely overwhelmed, the GPS itself would not be affected, as it doesn't use magnets. A GPS is a clock and a radio.

wait a sec, wood absorbs RF waves?

trees get in the way of antennas

He's specifically trying to not block the signals
>>54470468
Yup, that's why your mom has such a hard time finding her way back home through GPS
>sorry had to
>>54470487
well it's helpful to know what blocks the signals
magnets don't though, unless they're crazy 50 tesla electromagnets that could rip traces out of pcb's

If you're able to have it rotate fast enough, you just might.
Like in the GHz frequency fast.
