I'm switching from consol gaming to pc and to make matters worse ive only owned one pc 6 years ago that ran Windows xp pro so please type slowly and use small words I've got no idea what I'm looking for or where to look.
To give you an idea where I'm starting from my next move is to go type in "last years computer parts for cheap" looking for deals into google and start sifting.
I'm not looking for the top of the line parks that glow in the dark and come complete with karate chop action I just need stuff that performs at least as good as next gen consoles but if it only cost a little more for better parts I may likely be up for that.

Yes budget could be $1000 but if I can get consol quality for $800 why not.
