Does Android seriously still have no secure wipe?
I have 2 old Android phones circa 2010-2011. One is running Gingerbread and the other Icecream Sandwich.
Neither have the "encryption" feature AKA securely wipe your Android before selling on craigslist.
That said, there are many posts on the net saying the encryption feature does NOT secure wipe your phone. Any content on the phone BEFORE you encrypted it can easily be recovered.
I am no fanboy, but Apple has had secure wipe since iPhone 3GS. All you have to do is reset all settings. boom done.
I have buyers for these old phones but I have no way of secure wiping them. Even if they were newer, I would be screwed, because they werent encrypted before hand.
Fail Android is fail.
