Does the HTC M8 still hold up well say if I threw a custom rom on it? Are there even any decent custom roms for it?
My friend upgraded to the s7 and is letting me have his M8
Yes convert it to Google Play Edition RUU and install Skydragon GPE ROMs.
Speakers and headphone out Audio quality is unmatched even in 2016.
The camera is fucking horrid.

Don't care for the camera, hardly use it
It's a piece of shit that won't hold up long enough to function as a phone. My speakers blew, my earpiece went out, and finally my microphone went out so no one could hear me. The camera had a known issue where it loses the ability to focus and just vibrates grasping for anything. Device didn't even last 12 months before these issues started

It never held up. It's a complete piece of shit. I really miss my old Xperia
Convert to gpe. Easy as fuck. Like a couple of fastboot commands and u are done. Enjoy stock android.
