It ran BASIC and that's about it without spending money on expansion stuff. My parents sat through half a day of timeshare sales pitches to get it for free. I didn't get a modem until I got a Tandy (something)EX. I would get parts for christmas. 1200bps modem. I was all over the BBS scene locally. The Tandy was DOS 3.1.
I upgraded as I got older, but I downloaded my first Linux install (SLS) over a modem. Got me into the career I have today.

I think it was AlphaWorks, but I can't find a screenshot to confirm. It was basically some shitty application suite that ran on top of DOS. This was 26 years ago now, so my memory is hazy
