Hello /g/entlemen. I managed to get my hands on a Windows XP Professional operating system, but I have a 64 bit processor. Is there any way I can still use this?

should also mention I'm running linux mint 54 bit. Can I still run this in a virtual machine?

Yes you can run it in a VM.

64bit architecture is compatible with 32bit OS
You need to download it into the onboard bios.

how slow will it be? will I be able to play pong 3D or lego island on it?

It will be slower if you run it in VM, you should be able to play those games on it but they'll probably lag since VM isn't really made for gaming. If you choose to just install it as an OS it should run normally and your processor won't be a problem.

You can install it directly on your PC but you'll probably run into driver issues assuming your machine is not ancient. I reccommend Virtualbox or QEMU considering the OS is deprecated. You can run those games just fine on a VM, just make sure to enable 3D acceleration and a decent amount of VRAM (128MB is enough) on your VM settings
