apparently Windows live mail 2012 is going to be useless and die completely at the end of June because of an outlook update, and the only alternative is using the app that doesn't work on windows 7.
Is there any good software alternative out there who will still work after that update?
I don't really want to upgrade to either windows 8/10 for backwards compatibility with most of my softwares and games

But evolution's exchange integration felt a lot better
Thanks for the answers guys, I'll give a shot again to thunderbird, last time I used it was like 10 years ago or something, hopefully the new outlook update won't kill hotmail support for thunderbird

It won't. Even if they do something crazy like force Exchange, there's a Thunderbird addon for EWS support.
