Technology basically ruined my life

The semantics of technology are destructive. Otherwise I think technology frees up our time for using it in other ways, one of them being spending time with friends.

Technology brings people together. People can connect with others who have similar interests from all around the world. You're no longer limited to your shitty neighborhood. You can find people who have the same fetish as you without the awkward hints and questions. Even video game obsessed man children will have more friends online than they would have gotten in real life.
