Well, i finally broke my old portapros. Im looking to replace them for about $20 USD but i need something more durable since i want to wear them at work. Any suggestions would be great

Portapros.
>>
just snap your portapro in pieces, wrap it in bubble wrap and mail it back to koss along with a $9 check.
You'll only pay $2.50 in postage and get a brand new set of portapros.

Not durrable enough. It took me about two weeks of wearing these to work before they got fucked

That's great.

Mine broke in a week because the connector is a piece of shit.
>>
>>54371587
What's the appeal of these plasticky 80s looking things again?
>>
>>54371772
You answered your own question.
Also, because they're loud.
And normies love loud.

I wear my ATH-M50x outdoors.
In a sea of Portapros and Beats.
Wake me up inside.

It looks like something a fedora would wear. Normies like this shit?
>>
>>54371906
Yes because they're small, stylish and once again, loud.

I'm not a normie so I dunno, but that's apparently one of the reasons.

They're not that loud, just open-back.

They're cheap, and for the price they have a nice sound

They have a lifetime warranty, what seems to be the problem?
>>
>>54371772
Cheap as balls and sound good for the price. I got mine for 10$. I normally use my HD25s though.
>>
Reminder that IEMs have better sound quality, noise isolation and are more socially acceptable in public than on-ears.
>>

Recommend me a good affordable pair.
I'm using old shitty Sony earbuds..
>>
>Sennheiser PX 100-II will be great for you...
>>
>>54371772
None. People who have no clue what the fuck they are talking about think those are good budget headphones. Which was true before the era of chink/crowdfunded audio gear came around.
It's a great for running though.

>sweat soaking in, will absolutely REEK after a week
>incredibly short cable
are you fucking kidding me? Have you ever even exercised you retard?

Just send them off to get fixed... for free.
>>
>>54371772
Find a pair of head phones for the same price that sound as good as portapros. Oh and they come with a life time warranty so if/when something goes wrong you just get them fixed.
>>
>>54371890
What do you mean loud? Doesn't your PMP have volume control?

>ATH-M50x

Comparing a larger, closed, set of headphones to a portable, open back set.
>>
>>54372756
Yer but also cost a lot more than PPs.
>>
>>54373995
Name a set of headphones for the same price that sounds as good.

used shp9500 for $40 on CL

Nice try.

nice b8
>>
>>54374750
Never had to use the warranty, mine have been going just swell for 5 years now. Love them. PPs for wondering around quite places. Grados for sitting and listening. Nobels C3s for being out and about. Life is good.
>>
>>54371587
you can't top that sound for that money
>>
>>54375088
porta pros are garbage without eq http://en.goldenears.net/9862
>>
>>54375491
Heh, they cost <£30. No one is saying they are the best headphones in the world. But they sound good and are cheap. You don't an asortment of graphs.
>>
Replace the cord on these with one from a cheap pair of earbuds you probably have lying around, then get some bluetooth ones for work since wires a shit. I hear bluedio makes some good ones for the price.
