Is qb alright yet for private trackers?
Can someone post me the ram consumption with 100+ torrents?

no

Good arguement
>>
qBittorrent is too buggy for private trackers. It's ok if you just casually download.
>>
>>54366905
It isn't, it's allowed in all of them
>inb4 I went full retarded and somehow deleted stuff and let qBT redownload everything, it's clearly qBT's fault and my ratio went to shit
Stop being dumb
>>
>>54366905
I'm on all the big trackers and qBit gives me no trouble. Though I only have around 200 torrents on it at any given time, so it's not like it's under too much stress.
>>
>>54366915
I'm not saying it's banned. I'm saying that the client is still too buggy for private tracker usage. You need stability for private trackers and qBit doesnt have that.
>>
>>54366934
It's stable, are you still in the 2.x branch?

Wait until you get to 800+ and you'll find yourself wishing that you had gone with Transmission-qt or uTorrent 2.2.1 instead.
>>
>>54366949
>transmission for thousands of torrents
topfuckingkek
Are you for real? Anyone with thousands of torrents uses rtorrent
>>
>>54366949
I know that, it's the reason why I don't go over that.
>>
>>54366943
>>It's stable, are you still in the 2.x branch?

The latest 3.3.4 version is still buggy as fuck. Even the maintainer says it has problems that need to be ironed out. Have you seen the Github issues page? It's being bombarded with bug reports and people here also report the same issues.

qBittorrent is fine to use for casual downloading. My gf uses it for getting her episode of Game of Plebs, but anything more advanced than that and you will notice the issues, especially when you start loading 100s of torrents.
>>
>>54366966
Transmission is designed to run thousands of torrents on a server as well, you retard. I'm just saying that clearly, he uses Windows, like most qBittorrent users do, and rtorrent doesn't run on Windows so he has to use Transmission-qt, which runs 100s of torrents just fine.
>>
>>54366980
>It's being bombarded with bug reports and people here also report the same issues
Most of those issues are from people too retarded to set it up, who can't do something as simple as port forwarding or update to the latest release and complain that it hasn't been whitelisted yet
Other's are from people going full retard on Windows, or from Windows only limitations
>especially when you start loading 100s of torrents
I'm running around 500 torrents with no problems whatsoever
>>
>>54367009
>Most of those issues are from people too retarded to set it up, who can't do something as simple as port forwarding or update to the latest release and complain that it hasn't been whitelisted yet

Such retards don't have a github account. The people reporting issues on github are not that computer illiterate.

https://github.com/qbittorrent/qBittorrent/issues

Just look at the amount of issues. The maintainer even says they have real problems, like the stalling issue he THINKS he finally got fixed.

This client is no good for 24/7 private tracker usage. It just isn't and until it is, people should avoid using it unless they want a headache in the future.

Such retards do, there's a shitton of issues that have been closed and where nothing more than simple user fuckups
Do you believe everyone who has a github account knows to program? Most projects have a crapton of issues that have nothing to do with the program

Here's the difference between qBittorrent and Transmission-qt on Windows 10.

Transmission-qt uses almost the same amount of RAM to run 480 torrents as qBittorrent uses to run 9 torrents.

qBittorrent also uses over 4x the CPU with 9 torrent.

9 fucking torrents and qiBittorrent is already using more resources than a client running 480 torrents.

qBittorrent is garbage. Transmission-qt = stable as fuck.
>>
>>54367224
Well, Transmission is minimalistic as hell, that's like the whole point.

what have you done to your qbittorent to consume 30 mb ?
Mine uploads 1 mb/s right now for 2 torrents and consumes 100 mb of ram.

check
>>54367078
>>
>>54367383
Nothing. I just loaded up 9 torrents on it with my typical settings I use for every torrent client.

It's probably due to cache settings

I don't get the qstalled meme. I use that shit since many years on different operating systems like windows and linux, never had any sort of issues downloading shit. Methinks that some people are just retarded and have it firewalled or something.
I was forced to use transmission on linux while trying out ubuntu and it was horrible, moving files around takes ages and makes the whole interface unusable without any sort disk usage until it moves a few mb after two minutes.
It doesn't have any sort of proper queue management and just hangs on stalled torrents without giving the next one in the queue a chance to use my bandwidth. Fuck that minimalistic shit I’m back on qb and can't be happier.
>>
>>54372403
>I don't get the qstalled meme.

Not a meme. It actually stalls torrents.

https://github.com/qbittorrent/qBittorrent/issues?utf8=%E2%9C%93&q=stalled
>>
>>54372064
If you mind != If you don't mind

In fact, it's practically the opposite

If you mind ads = If you don't want ads

If you don't mind ads = If you don't give a shit about ads

Clear enough?

MIND you, English is not my first language either
>>
>>54372456
No problem for me on linux and windows, So no it doesn't stall torrents according to your reasoning. And why are you linking closed issues? It doesn't look like a serious problem with open issues and most of them seem more like user error than anything else. Don't underestimate the stupidity of the common folk. I bet some of them use two torrent clients at the same time with the same port. Most of them don't even provide logs.

There seems to be an agenda against qb and I can only guess who would profit from that.
>>
>>54366980
This
I love it but it can't be trusted for private trackers
>>
>>54373635

That's not how it works

If you ask someone "do you mind if I sit here" then it's fucking implied that you are going to sit there and not somewhere else. If you say "if you mind ads" it's implied that there are going to be ads there.

fuck this fucking horse shit software, torrents are either stalled or stuck on 'downloading metadata', meanwhile utorrent the old version just werks.
