Irfanview, the only good one that works with gifs and other types of files with no customization needed.

thanks, this is now my new image viewer.
Irfanview, sometimes Honeyview. Irfanview starts faster and supports webm but sometimes runs GIFs too fast. Honeyview handles GIFs better and preloads the next image but takes a second or two for a cold start and doesn't play webms.

I found the code for the background color, is there anyway to change it to transparent?

I use Microsoft edge to view gifs.

I think something is wrong with me.
I see this picture on the 4chan home page and immediately think. Wow, the kitchen cabinet setup looks just like a mirror image of the one this one guy I met at a church group two years ago has in his kitchen.
I can't shake the feeling that is not a normal response, yet I can't think of what it should be.

It's a broken piece of shit, like most suckless software.

ImageEye
I've yet to find anything else that works better for me. I wish it could play webms on loop as if it were an image, but whatever.
>>54358228
>What's wrong with it?
Well for example, here are things I noticed were wrong about it:
1. It fails on >8-bit files (clipping/rounding artifacts)
2. It fails on 10-bit display (broken stride calculation)
3. It fails images with an embedded profile or colorimetry tags that are not sRGB
4. It fails on a display that is not calibrated to sRGB
5. It fails on anything that isn't in Imlib's rather modest set of supported file extensions (e.g. WebP, PNM)
It's also rather slow (no GPU acceleration) and the scaling algorithm is very naive at best and broken at worst (strong aliasing artifacts, excessive blurring), which impacts quality even for 100% zoom thanks to subsampling. It also fails particularly badly at downscaling.
Most of its deficiencies are due to it relying on the years-old, outdated, unmaintained, bitrotten and upstream deprecated Imlib library for all of its graphics work.
But when asked, nobody was willing to step up to maintainership of Imlib simply for the sake of fixing sxiv bugs.
Finally, mpv also brings other features to the table (like debanding, deblocking, sharpening, shaders and all sorts of image adjustments (gamma, hue, contrast etc.))
>>54358792
>Finally, mpv also brings other features to the table
Or, for example, viewing images inside archives, or opening HTTP urls directly, or reading from stdin, or recursively traversing folders, or whatever.
>>54358792
Well, that was instructive. Thanks.
