This is what triggers me. Was in Thailand and it was like $20 a month for actually unlimited everything.

Who else use RingPlus?

I used them long ago but now their plans have changed. Literally offering free service, aslong as you keep some sort of balance in their system (think $5-12 deposit).

>>
Great deal for people who don't use data on mobile.
>>
>>54340694
Not really. Most people who don't use their phone much will still end up using ~2gb of data each month. Why pay memefi $40 when boost will give you the same thing + unlimited 2g + the ability to increase your high speed data allowance to 5gb over time?

Disgusting.

I'm on T-Mobile prepaid, and it's like $35 a month for 100 min voice, unlimited texting, and 5GB LTE (Netflix, Google Play, Youtube don't count towards your limit). After that 5GB is used up, it's unlimited 2G.

>>54341533
Keep in mind we also make several times the amount of money you do, so $50/ month hurts less. Also, your country is way more population dense than ours, we're paying for coverage where the population density is like 25 people per square mile. The burden gets shared by all of us.

Boost Mobile - uses Sprint's network
GoSmartMobile - uses T Mobile's network
Cricket - uses AT&T's network
Total Wireless - uses Verizon's network

These are cheap off contract brands that use same networks as the big 4.

What? No, you would get the SIM for the network you want as long as the phone is compatible with the network i.e. Sprint phone only works on Sprint network, Verizon phone only on Verizon networks, but GSM unlocked will work usually on both AT&T or T-Mo, if it has dual sim just check to see if phone is compatible with both, you'll need a SIM per network tho

I have the Walmart plan. Currently you

This is the same system, that offers to refund you for what data you don't use, or allow you to use over and still only pay for what you use.
The best deals are unlimited plans like MetroPCS. My friend torrents/hotspot 100s of GBs for 60/month and doesn't pay for home internet
>>
>not using republic wireless

good goys the lot of you
>>
>>54345620
You fail to see the point.

If you pay $10/GB no matter what, then you don't pre-pay for $30, use $10, and get $20 back, for a total cost of $10.

You pre-pay for 0GB, use 1GB, and pay $10.

Anything else is just treating your phone bill like a checking account or interest free corporate loan.

If you just enjoy the nice surprise of getting money, just "pre-pay" by taping $20 on your calendar and "get refunded $20" when you flip it over, instead of keeping it in your Google Fi account.

It's the best you can get in much of America.

>Verizon is $70 for the same service BEFORE FEES AND OVERCHARGES

REEEE

BRING BACK UNLIMITED

To give you a picture, on FI, I'm paying $35 dollars a month with my usage. That's the same I was paying for dumb phone service with Verizon, as they refused to reduce my bill to the basic phone rate that I qualified for even after multiple support techs said they'd do it after noticing I was paying more than I should.

American phone service sucks.
They even got rid of our grandfathered unlimited plans.

My only complaint about Fi is the mediocre building penetration on their component networks, indoors signal strength in large buildings without nearby repeaters suffers. Verizon's superior band didn't have any problems.

if you can deal with sprint/cdmaids, look at ringplus and freedompop. ringplus offers random promotions with tons of free min/mb, covering the costs with a one time top-up fee and playing ads when you dial out (sometimes it's music). freedompop is primarily voip based, with 500mb/month for free that can get up to 1gb by friending other fpop users.

i have a few of each, tied to an lg volt and some alcatel dumb phone on ringplus, and a galaxy s3 and photon q on freedompop. shits nice having so much free data and minutes, using the google botnet to tie them all to one phone number.

As long as you have coverage speeds are actually okay. A hell of a lot better than t-mobile. In fact I ditched t-mobile because of shitty coverage and very slow lte speeds. Half the time 144p youtube would have to buffer ON LTE.

Also sprint doesn't use wimax anymore and have been upgrading cell towers recently too.

pic related another 50MB speed test, got a little faster too. Speeds usually stay around ~8mbps for me though they can go as high as 12mbps sometimes. Anyway it's breddy gud considering I get to use 50-100gb or more of lte at those speeds.

None of the mathematical formulas that are used to prove that the earth is round actually do that as seen in the first pic I posted, if the drop rate for the "circumference" of the earth is supposed to make objects not visible after 2.5 miles out, then why is it that most objects can still be seen at that distance at ground/sea level?

This is one of the shittiest things Google has launched. I have no idea why they expected it to work. If you use very little data, than fine, its okay... but you can get a $30 T-Mobile plan with unlimited everything and 1GB of 4G data (flipping down to HSPA+ 3.5g after, I think. I don't think they push you to Edge). If you use a lot of data, you're better off with an unlimited plan from Tmobile before you rack up the GBs for Google. Hell, MVNO companies do better!

Google Fi users are likely to be technically minded and use lots of data, so why the fuck would they not do better? Google's successes like Gmail and their search were viable because they gave people WAY more features and VALUE than competing offerings. Hell, that's what their Fiber launch did. If they couldn't at least match current mobile companies they should have stayed out of the race.
