When that redline represents all of the servers found on the public internet. Not to also sight ISPs using Unix super computers.
Desktop users come in thousands. In the end all users will need the use of a server that does not fall over when you get traffic as large as an entire country of people every second.

linux is a hobbyist os. it isn't taken seriously outside of the few poor companies who cannot afford windows licenses.
ubuntu and linux are almost equal these days in relevance.
