Do they not test this shit for a LTS release?
>>

The fact that it's "broken" (you can just dpkg) should be a feature
>>
>>54320808
Ironically that was broken as well.

>dpkg -> apt-get -f install
>do you want to remove google chrome
>>
>>54320821
Use gdebi, dpkg doesn't pull dependencies
>>
>>54320774
Just use dpkg faggot
sudo dpkg -i chrome.deb

But is there a reason why this wasn't tested?

For a user friendly distro it's pretty fucking poor

Yeah, Ubuntu sucks
>>54320892
The OP wasn't asking for help though, he's calling out ubuntu for being shit.
No one is addressing the point that OP is right though, this should just work and shit like this is the reason linux will never have more adoption, especially when the reaction to problems is to just thoughtlessly defend everything.
I say this as a long time linux user.

Bluetooth program fucks up on Ubuntu MATE if you have it disabled in BIOS. This certainly isn't the year of Linux.
