No one is addressing the point that OP is right though, this should just work and shit like this is the reason linux will never have more adoption, especially when the reaction to problems is to just thoughtlessly defend everything.
I say this as a long time linux user.
Bluetooth program fucks up on Ubuntu MATE if you have it disabled in BIOS. This certainly isn't the year of Linux.
